Liz Greene, in her book "Relating. An Astrological Guide to Living with Others" (1977), wonders about the reasons for the increasing interest in psychological astrology. You can read about it here: 'Psychological Astrology, the Language of Energies.'
A person's Natal Chart is the visual and symbolic representation of the position of planets, signs, and houses, and their interactions, as seen from the person's position on Earth. It is also a symbolic representation of the correlation of psychological energies with which she or he faces life. That energy make-up, different for each person, shows how she or he will tend to handle life, as if it were something similar to her or his automatic pilot, or his or her energy DNA. The more aware the person becomes of which ones those energies are, and of how she or he tends to express them in life, the better prepared she or he will be to manage them as consciously as possible, instead of living controlled by them.
Planets, signs, houses, aspects are neither good or bad, positive or negative. They present different degrees of easiness or difficulty in which they impact us or we experience or manage them. They all have a purpose and make sense, and they all can contribute to our growth and development in our long journey towards becoming more self aware and complete persons.

Dr. Gerhard Adler, in the preface to Liz Greene's book, says that
"the nature of astrology is rather being an indication that outlines a person's potentials, and that leaves room for the final result to depend upon how the person faces those potentials and uses them."
This is precisely the way we work with our clients' natal chart. The main goal is that they come to have a better understanding of themselves, their potentials and struggles, so that they become more aware of what they can do to become more complete and, with that, the best version of themselves, which is that person that only each one of them can be.
