This is one of the cornerstones on which Psychological Astrology rests: what is inside us and what is in the universe are one and the same.
The planets represent the types of energy that are present in us and in the universe, and constantly have an impact on us.
The signs represent the ways in which we use those energies. In the physical reality of our solar system, the signs are twelve 30-degree segments of the ellipse.
The twelve houses are the areas in our live on which the energies represented by planets have an impact, "filtered" by the signs.
The placement of planets and signs at the exact moment of birth get engraved on the person: they are what I call the person's energy DNA. This placement is visually shown on the Natal Chart. Since that energy map is engraved on the person, it is always active. This is why, at any given moment in our life, the placement of planets and signs is important, as they are constantly interacting with us, that is, with our energy DNA. The different types of interaction between planets from their position at a given moment and the position where they were at the time of birth are called aspects, and they are key in the process of understanding a person's chart.
The Natal Chart is the visual and symbolic representation of the position of planets, signs, and houses, and their interactions, as seen from the person's position on Earth.
Planets, signs, houses, aspects are neither good or bad, positive or negative. They present different degrees of easiness or difficulty in which they impact us or we experience or manage them. They all have a purpose and make sense, and they all can contribute to our growth and development in our long journey towards becoming more self aware and complete persons.
